John Ray is from a little community in a town called Carencro – it means buzzard –long story. He has been a full time youth director for over 10 years at St. Peter Church. Despite 10 years of experience, he feels he still has so much to learn about youth ministry. “It amazes me how great God is and that I have the privileged to witness him work in the lives of others.”

He has spent the best six years of his life with his bestfriend and bride Alesha. They have two beautiful children, Jay (John Ray IV) and Cecilia. When he is not praying with teenagers, he can be found spending time with his family.

“I feel like our relationship with God can be likened to that of a beggar on streets. If we don’t ask daily, we go to sleep hungry.”
